Practice Manager

Dr. McDonough feels very blessed to be a part of the profession and to be chosen to care for the dogs and cats in people’s lives. “I have a strong passion for caring for my patients but also caring for the owners who love them so dearly,” she said.
Dr. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and continued her education at UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2010 with her degree in veterinary medicine. (Go Badgers!) She became the practice owner of Greendale Village Vet in March 2021.
“I decided to take on this new challenge of being a small business owner, lead my team, and build a practice exactly how I want it. I believe it is so important to provide the kind of quality care for my patients that I would want my own pet to receive. This is what you can expect for your pet at Greendale Village Vet.”
Dr. Michelle has several interests in her career. She has undergone training in abdominal ultrasound, finding it to be a vital tool for completing a patient’s full diagnostic picture. She also loves soft-tissue surgery and dentistry and enjoys the time she spends performing procedures. Additionally, she has a strong interest in dermatology cases, finding it rewarding to diagnose and treat skin issues in pets. When she is not at work, she spends time with her amazing and supportive husband, Nick. She also has a son and a daughter who keep her busy when she isn’t at the hospital. The family loves spending time up north fishing, swimming, and being outdoors. They are also big Packers, Badgers, and Brewers fans.
“I look forward to meeting you and being able to care for the precious furry members of your family,” said Dr. Michelle.
